Joined The City Law School (formerly the Inns of Court School of Law) in 1996.

Allison's background is primarily university teaching. She was a lecturer at the University of Leeds and has both taught and studied law in the USA. She set up the journal "Education and the Law", now in its 15th year, published by Carfax.

Allison is the Admissions Co-ordinator for the BVC Course. She is the Opinion Writing Co-ordinator and teaches Opinion Writing and Drafting, Sale of Goods and Consumer Credit, and Civil Litigation and Advocacy. She is an IATC accredited advocacy trainer.

Allison will be an external examiner for a BVC provider from January 2004 and is an external examiner for a legal writing course set up at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
