City of London Corporation consults Professor Jason Chuah on trade research

The City Law School Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law advised the Square Mile’s governing body on the place of maritime services in global London.

The City Law School’s Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law, Professor Jason Chuah, has been recently consulted by the City of London Corporation with regard to its influential research, “The City of London: An Ecosystem promoting International Trade”.

395263The industry-centric research focused on how legal services, trade financing and maritime services supported by the City of London Corporation contribute to UK Trade.
It is a joint project undertaken with multinational financial audit, tax, consulting and advisory company, Ernst & Young (EY).

Constraints and solutions

The City of London Corporation is the municipal governing body of the City of London, the historic centre of London and the location of much of the United Kingdom's financial sector.

Professor Chuah’s contribution focused specifically on the place of maritime services in global London.

He provided information and findings on the challenges faced by the maritime service industry and commented on the solutions to these constraints.

The report is due for final publication before the end of 2020.
