Natarajan Sivaselvan wins oral presentation prize at virtual international computing conference
Natarajan Sivaselvan, an external City PhD student in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, won the Excellent Oral Presentation Prize for his paper, “Authentication and Capability-based Access Control: An Integrated Approach for IoT Environment”.
His oral presentation was judged by a selection panel during the (virtual) 12th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks held from June 12th to 15th 2020.
Natarajan is an Assistant Professor at Manipal University (India) and is supervised by Professor Muttukrishnan Rajarajan, Director of City’s Institute for Cyber Security.
His research explores lightweight encryption mechanisms to support low power and low storage devices.
Natarajan's recent work in authentication and access control techniques using a security token to overcome interoperability challenges in IoT devices has been highly commended.
