The City Law School has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of the valuable relationship the School has developed with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts.

The certificate was presented by Chief Justice Tun Zaki Bin Azmi at the DIFC Courts Executive Forum 2019, organised under the Honorary Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the DIFC.

Held in the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, the event was held to launch the DIFC Courts' Work Plan 2020-2021.

Commenting on the award, Professor Andrew Stockley, Dean of The City Law School said:

The City Law School very much values its relationship with the DIFC Courts. We are honoured to receive the Certificate of Appreciation - a testament to the strong partnership between The City Law School and the DIFC Courts, and the considerable assistance the DIFC has given us as we have established our LLM Maritime Law programme in Dubai and as we look to build upon this."

The City Law School offers an LLM Maritime Law programme in Dubai, the first postgraduate qualification of its kind in the Gulf region.

Launched earlier this year, the part-time programme is offered through City, University of London’s Dubai Centre and in collaboration with The DIFC Academy.
