City renews programme with INTO

City has signed an extension to continue with INTO programmes.

by Matthew Little (Communications Officer)

INTO provides international students with a range of pre-university courses to help them prepare for direct entry to a wide range of postgraduate and undergraduate degrees.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, INTO helped 176 international students progress on to study at City.

Eamon Martin, INTO City’s Centre Director said:

“We are delighted by this result. It is a statement of confidence in the partnership we have in place with the University – one that has seen well over 1000 students progress to City since our launch.

“We know that many of our students have done extremely well in their degree studies - evidenced by the feedback received on their results at the University.  All staff and students who presented the panel gave a really impressive performance and strongly conveyed the energy and enthusiasm for the work we undertake here at INTO City.”

Professor Stanton Newman, Vice-President (International) said:

“I am delighted that the courses run though the INTO City Joint Venture have been revalidated by the University.

“The joint venture continues to recruit successfully and these students are performing well whilst at City with an increased number of international students progressing to the University.”
