City, University of London to host second TNE-Hub Symposium
The Dubai Centre’s Dr Kevin Dunseath will be speaking about transnational education in Dubai on 11th July.
Held under the theme of Transnational Education: Innovations in Practice, this one-day event is hosted by City, University of London, bringing together global researchers and practitioners to share current innovations in transnational education (TNE), and how these innovative practices can be used to respond to major challenges across all stages of higher education provision. The keynote speaker will be Dr Warren Fox, Chief of Higher Education, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai.
The programme of the Symposium will be based on four key themes: student recruitment, pedagogy and delivery models, student experience and attainment, and graduate employability.
Dr Dunseath will be speaking on the subject of TNE in Dubai: Innovations and its Constraints. His presentation will cover the expansion of Dubai's university sector, which is a result of the UAE's transition towards a knowledge-based economy. He will also be discussing ways in which innovation in TNE could be further accelerated.
With more than 40 years of experience, Dr Dunseath has held teaching and leadership positions at educational institutions across the world, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK.
