Financial Times ranks Cass MBA as 7th globally, 1st in London and 2nd in Europe for Entrepreneurship

Strong result reflects outstanding entrepreneurship ecosystem

The Financial Times has ranked the Cass MBA as 7th globally, 1st in London and 2nd in Europe.for Entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the Financial Times data shows that the Cass MBA is:

  • 2nd in Europe for the percentage of companies still operating three years after completing the MBA;
  • 2nd in Europe for motivating entrepreneurs; and
  • 2nd in Europe for school assistance in securing finance.

The strong result reflects the outstanding entrepreneurship ecosystem at Cass where students benefit from access to world-leading Faculty experts and an enviable location close to the heart of Tech City and London’s thriving startup scene.

Professor Marianne Lewis, Dean, Cass Business School said:

“As a result of the school’s strong research and teaching profile, the Cass MBA Programme continues to develop and now offers MBA concentrations in Finance, Corporate Finance and Investment Management, Real Estate Finance and Investment (with the MSc), plus Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Strategy through strength and depth in electives.”

Professor Costas Andriopoulos, Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship said:

“Our students are joining an entrepreneurship ecosystem that includes hands-on courses that trigger their creativity, help them convert their ideas to viable opportunities, and prepare them for raising funds.

“This experience is complemented by mentoring and other supportive opportunities ranging from startup weekends, regular trips to Silicon Valley, a state of the art incubation space, and funding.  Support for students continues after graduation and we work closely with our alumni to advise and support their entrepreneurial endeavours.”

Established in 2008, the Entrepreneurship Group at Cass benefits from world-leading faculty, a dedicated Head of Entrepreneurship Programmes, leadership from two Associate Deans for Entrepreneurship, its own investment fund founded by philanthropist, businessman and Cass alumnus Peter Cullum CBE, and a specialist CityVentures team who provide bespoke entrepreneurship programmes, events and services to students across Cass and City, University of London.

Cass students can also join the Cass Entrepreneurs Network (CEN) which arranges entrepreneurship events and networking opportunities.
