City ranked top in London for student satisfaction by the Complete University Guide 2018
The latest league table also places City as the 14th best institution in the UK for graduate prospects
A new league table has placed City, University of London first in London for student satisfaction for the second year running.
The Complete University Guide 2018, published this week, ranked City as 14th in the UK for graduate prospects and 42nd in the UK overall.
President Professor Sir Paul Curran commented:
Following recent investment, I was delighted that the quality of our student’s experience increased markedly. This achievement has been maintained and is reflected unambiguously in this latest ranking.
City has strong historic links with business and the professions and an excellent track record of developing highly employable graduates so it is tremendous to see that this is also recognised.
Positive results in rankings such as the Complete University Guide are a testament to the hard work and efforts of dedicated staff across the institution.
The guide publishes separate subject-based tables and City has featured in the top 20 in the UK for seven areas: Accounting & Finance; Aural & Oral Sciences; Business & Management Studies; Communication & Media Studies; Medical Technology; Nursing and Opthalmics.
A number of subject areas also performed particularly well against London competitors. Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering was ranked 1st in London for student satisfaction, while Communication & Media Studies was ranked 1st for graduate prospects.
This result comes after a successful start to the year for City. Earlier in 2017, HRH The Princess Royal visited City to officially open the new main entrance. The new complex is part of a multimillion pound investment to transform the University estate.
The Complete University Guide is published annually, measuring the performance of the 127 institutions across the UK. The rankings take into account factors that include research quality, graduate prospects and student satisfaction.
