CityStarters shortlisted for a National Enterprise Educators Award

Success of City’s student enterprise initiative recognised with award nomination

CityStarters, City University London's student enterprise initiative, has been shortlisted for the HE Enterprise Champions category in the National Enterprise Educators Awards (NEEA).

The National Enterprise Educator Awards celebrate individuals and projects that show exceptional commitment to supporting student and graduate entrepreneurship in higher education.

Ben Mumby-Croft, Enterprise Education Manager at City, is delighted that the initiative has been shortlisted for the honour, less than a year after its launch.

"Win, lose or draw this nomination is testament to the amazing amount of hard work and dedication the CityStarters team have displayed over the last 10-months in rethinking, re--working and re-launching Enterprise Education at City."

Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend the NEEA Ceremony at the International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference (IEEC) Gala Dinner where the winners from all four categories will be announced. Each winner will be presented with a trophy and £1000 to invest back into their projects.

If successful, Ben and his team plan to use the prize to produce a CityStarters e-book to expand the reach of their current work.

CityStarters aims to inspire and support entrepreneurship across City by running accessible extra-curricular events, competitions and business support services. Their mission is to make City a leading destination for student innovation.
