Industrial action on Thursday 31st October

City is committed to operating services and facilities as normally as possible
by Sophie

Three trade unions UCU, UNISON and Unite have announced plans for strike action in relation to the national pay award offer. This will initially comprise one day of strike action at Higher Education Institutions on Thursday 31st October.

City University London will make every effort to ensure that there is minimum disruption to services for students and staff.

The majority of staff are not members of these trade unions and will be working as normal. The University intends that all buildings will be open and where possible, lectures and other activities will take place as timetabled.

Where the University is aware of changes to the availability of services for students, information will be posted on Moodle and Schools will endeavour to keep students informed. Staff can find information outlining the background to this industrial action on City University London's intranet.

If you experience disruption on the day, we'd like to apologise for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding.
