nullVice-Chancellor Professor Paul Curran and Dean Professor Carl Stychin have officially opened The City Law School's new home in the Innovation Centre. The refurbished building comprises a student common room, well-resourced law library and offices for both academic and Professional Services staff.

Vice- Chancellor Professor Paul Curran said the project was part of City University London's extensive estates development plan:

"We cannot take our place as a leading global university unless we create a physical environment that will attract and retain outstanding academics and the most able students. The successful completion of this project marks another stage in the journey as we transform our estate".

nullThe building provides a central venue for students taking the undergraduate LLB, Graduate Entry LLB, Graduate Diploma in Law and Public International Law LLM. The ground floor boasts an impressive student common room as well as the School Office while the first and second floors are home to the law library.

The third floor is dedicated to providing offices for the School's academic staff and its Dean, Professor Carl Stychin:

"The response from staff, students and visitors to the new building has been overwhelmingly positive. It is an incredibly important development for the School particularly in terms of ensuring the student experience is all it can be. The new student common room is inviting while the revamped law library, complete with Lawbore Lab, offers an invaluable and accessible learning resource".

The School's move to the reconfigured space allows Law students and staff easy access to the adjacent Social Sciences Building, with its impressive new entrance, reception and events space.

The City Law School's new home in the Innovation Centre complements the established facilities available at its sister campus, Gray's Inn Place. Situated in the heart of legal London, it is home to the Legal Practice Course, Bar Professional Training Course and the Commercial and Professional LLMs .
