City University London collaborates with Google Campus

School of Informatics academics will run a session on User-Centred Design and User Experience for start-ups
by John Stevenson

City University London will receive a boost of its profile within Tech City when senior academics from the School of Informatics participate in Google Campus's EDU Beta, the pilot of the Campus EDU programme, on 8 November.

SPIThis coincides with World Usability Day (WUD), a global event promoted by the User Experience Professional Association (UXPA) to make digital products and services simpler to use and easier to access. Dr Simone Stumpf and Stephanie Wilson will run a session on User-Centred Design and User Experience, focussing on how start-ups can involve users to create better user experiences.

Dr Stumpf brings a wealth of professional experience as a User Experience Architect and has worked in areas such as web presence, e-commerce and social networking projects. Her core research focus has been the use of intelligent systems by end users, end user programming and information management systems.

Stephanie Wilson is a Reader in the Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design and undertakes research into interaction design for healthcare and accessibility.
