710278Dr Veselin Rakocevic, a Reader in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering in the School of Science and Technology, has co-authored a research paper which has won the Best Presentation Award at the 2022 IFIP/IEEE International Conference on Performance Evaluation and Modelling in Wired and Wireless Networks.

The conference took place at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, from November 8th to 10th 2022.

Their paper is titled In-network Support for Packet Reordering for Multiaccess Transport Layer Tunnelling and presents a new intelligent algorithm for packet reordering in multiaccess wireless networks, enabling fast content delivery over multiple wireless paths (5G, WiFi) for internet traffic requiring very low delivery delays.

The work is result of a research collaboration with Karlstad University from Sweden and industrial partners Deutsche Telekom and BT.
