City, University of London is saddened to record the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

The University has longstanding links to the Royal Family, predominantly through Her Royal Highness Anne The Princess Royal, who is Chancellor of the University of London.

Professor Sir Anthony Finkelstein, President of City, University of London, paid tribute to the Queen.

“The Queen dedicated her life to the service of her people, both in this country and throughout the Commonwealth.  She represented strength, security and stability in an ever-changing world and we are most grateful to her for her many years of service. We offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.”

In May 2003, we were honoured when Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh opened the new state-of-the-art building for Bayes Business School at Bunhill Row, an event still remembered fondly today by staff who were present.
