Bayes Business School (formerly Cass)’s MBA programme has once again been ranked number one in the UK by Poets & Quants, in its third annual ‘Top MBA programmes for Entrepreneurship’ list.

The ranking, which uses indicators such as the ratio of full-time MBA curricula dedicated to entrepreneurship, resources available to students and the number of graduates starting companies or working for start-ups, places Bayes in ninth globally – a rise of eight positions from 12 months ago – and third across Europe for the second year running.

Professor Steve Thomas, Associate Dean for MBA programmes, said:

“We are very proud to maintain our number one and three positions in the country and across Europe respectively, but it is also particularly pleasing to see a rise of eight places into the top ten in the world.

“Our MBA programmes place a great deal of focus on encouraging an entrepreneurial sprit among students by equipping them with an explorer’s mindset while enhancing their natural leadership talents.

“Strong leadership is required as we begin the long path towards economic recovery from the pandemic, and we recognise the significant role we have to play in developing these future leaders.”

Professor Costas Andriopoulos, Professor of Management and Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship, said:

“To be named as the top MBA for entrepreneurship in the country is a great accolade, but to maintain this position for the second year in a row and also rise significantly globally is a very proud achievement.

“Entrepreneurship is at the forefront of our MBA programmes, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem at Bayes reflects this. The Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund was set up to provide financial investment for companies in their early stages, and our students can also take advantage of professional mentoring from experienced businesspeople, an accelerator programme and a co-working space to grow ideas into a successful company.

“The latest ranking from Poets & Quants is testament to the opportunities and environment we have created to help students to become business leaders.”
