Dr Oguz A. Acar, Reader in Marketing at the Business School (formerly Cass), has been named as one of the world’s elite young business academics by Poets & Quants.
The business school platform — which covers the graduate business education market — included Dr Acar in its annual World’s Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors, which recognises young business school academics from around the globe who have demonstrated research excellence and teaching expertise in their field, positively impacting those they work with.
One of his students said: “Oguz made the course worthwhile by going beyond what was there in the syllabus to give us true knowledge. He revealed to me my real potential, helped me think outside the box, and made me realise that creativity and innovation in Marketing have no limits.”
Dr Oguz A. Acar Dr Acar, also Director of the Marketing Strategy & Innovation MSc, was selected from a list of almost 2,500 nominations for almost 200 professors before being chosen in the top 40 and said:
“It is a wonderful feeling to receive this recognition for my research, teaching, and impact. I am grateful to students and alumni who nominated me for this award.”
“My motivation is to continue making a meaningful impact in my research area — which lies at the intersection of innovation and behavioural science — and to innovation practice. I want to progress in my career and have many personal drivers but none of them is more motivating than supporting the next generation of bright minds — of which there are many at the Business School.”
Previously, Dr Alessandro Giudici and Dr Paolo Aversa, both senior lecturers in strategy at the Business School were named in the same Poets and Quants list in 2018 and 2020.
