Title: Competing in Turbulent Environments: Between Passion and Performance.
Adapting to increasing turbulence represents a very common challenge for organizations in almost any industry. Strategy research has traditionally tried to explore ways to understand such dynamic contingencies and provide effective recipes to executives and policy makers. Still, recent trends such as digitalization and climate change have exacerbated the pace and magnitude of such disruptions, requiring scholars and practitioners to advance new understanding and solutions. How can we interpret and navigate increasingly turbulent environments? Professor Paolo Aversa will reflect on his personal and scholarly journey to address this and other important questions through novel approaches to strategy. Specific attention will be given to research based on Formula 1 and motorsport data, for which he is renowned.
