Prof George Lucas will be presenting some key aspects of his latest book Law, Ethics and Emerging Military Technologies. Confronting Disruptive Innovation (Routledge, 2022) by combining them with fresh reflections on the conflict in Ukraine, also on the basis of his recent visit in the region. The talk will be chaired by Dr Sara Silvestri (City, University of London) and Simon Webb (CCADD).
George Lucas is a leading authority in military ethics and has recently focused his attention to autonomous weapons. Emeritus Chair in Ethics and Professor in Ethics and Public Policy at the Naval Postgraduate School in the USA, he is currently Senior Consultant with the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).
