This session is open to anyone and everyone but is especially designed to give participants a taster of what studying MSc Data Science at City, University of London is like.
The MSc in Data Science will teach you about cutting-edge machine learning techniques to practically analyse big data in new and exciting ways, equipping yourself with the relevant skills to succeed in this rapidly expanding industry. It also allows for a 3-6 month internship to be incorporated into the programme, supported by the Corporate Relations & Employability Unit.
Alternatively, the Apprenticeship route allows companies to send their employees to do the MSc part-time on day-release over two years and they will be applying what they learnt to their organisation. It's a cost-effective solution because most of the tuition fees for this route are covered by the Apprenticeship Levy.
Dr Aidan Slingsby is the Programme Director for MSc Data Science and is a researcher and lecturer in the giCentre. His work relates to Information Analysis and Visualisation and he is interested in the design and application of information visualisation for presenting and helping make sense of data, particularly for data that are spatial and temporal.
There will be a Q&A at the end of the event where you have the chance to have your questions answered by the Programme Director and our Postgraduate Admissions Team.
Attendance at City events is subject to our terms and conditions.
