Geovation is an initiative of Ordnance Survey (OS), to deliver its commitment to open innovation in the geospatial industry. It launches, grows and supports start-ups in the geospatial and property sectors.
The presentation will summarise the work Geovation do including highlighting innovation initiatives such as hackathons, Ideathons and accelerator programmes, how the start-ups work with us and how they use data.
It will highlight the Geovation community and how university students and graduates can be involved.
About the Speaker:
Wayne Newton is the Business Development Executive in the Commercial Team at Geovation – the Innovation initiative of Ordnance Survey.
He is responsible for developing and running innovation initiatives and has a keen interest in the environment and the impacts of climate change and pollution.
He has a passion for mapping and has achieved a BSC and MSC in Geographical Information Systems. He is currently studying for his MBA.
