About City University String Orchestra:
Our string ensemble is part of the City University Chamber Orchestra, whose recent performances have included Mozart's Symphony No. 40, Schubert's Fifth Symphony, Elgar's Chanson de matin and nuit and Debussy's Petite Suite, besides programmes of baroque chamber music, and joint performances with our choir of large scale choral-orchestral works including Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli ("Paukenmesse") and Vivaldi’s Gloria. They are directed and conducted by Tim Hooper, who is in-demand for his expertise across the UK.
