The School of Health & Psychological Sciences (SHPS) Student Awards recognise a student’s academic achievement and excellent contribution in practice during their time at SHPS. Student awards are determined by SHPS Assessment Boards.
Nominations are submitted to an Assessment Board Secretary by programme staff, external examiners, placement providers, or are determined by their final module or programme mark.
Both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students are eligible for the following categories of award:
- Academic and excellence - for exceptional academic performance. This might include the highest credit weighted average mark across a programme, or highest mark for a specific module
- Practice – considerable achievement in practice
- Memorial – taken from funds made to the university in honour of an individual
- Sponsored – prizes supplied through generous donations of external organisations.
At the ceremony winners will be awarded with their certificate and prize. The ceremony will be followed by a food and drinks reception.
We will have an official photographer at the ceremony to take photographs of our award winners.
We look forward to seeing you on the 12 April 2022 to recognise and reward the successes of our students.
