Speaker: Dr Chris Letcher
In this presentation I consider how my interest in screen music analysis and theory influences my work as a composer of music for screen.
I unpack some of my recent film and television projects and the processes involved in their construction in terms of issues of representation (of people, place and musical style) and, more generally, in terms of music’s capacity to create meaning and to connect audiences (and composer) with narrative and character.
