The Lord Upjohn lecture is an annual lecture on legal education organised by the Association of Law Teachers. This year Baroness Hale of Richmond, former President of the UK Supreme Court, will be giving remarks about the role that legal education has to play in the development of a more diverse judiciary. Baroness Hale's remarks will be discussed by a panel including Professor Sharon Cowan (University of Edinburgh), Professor Iyiola Solanke (University of Leeds) and Lynne Townley (City, University of London), chaired by Professor Luke Mason (Birmingham City University).
Speaker Bio: Baroness Hale of Richmond is a former President of the UK Supreme Court. Sharon Cowan is Professor of Feminist and Queer Legal Studies at University of Edinburgh. Lynne Townley is a Barrister and Lecturer at City, University of London.
