Are you considering a career in social research?
Would you like to learn more about different research organisations and the work they do?
Building a Career in Social Research is an evening discussion with current and past students about social research.
Students and alumni will share their experiences of working as social researchers and offer advice and tips to those beginning a research career.
Topics will include: securing work in social research, conducting postgraduate and academic research, and working in the private, government, and third sectors.
This event aims to highlight the diverse range of work conducted by social researchers and provide a sense of the methods and skills employed across the different sectors. Organisations include, among others, Office for National Statistics, BBC Media Action, Department of Education, Citizens Advice, and Verve.
We are pleased to feature the important and exciting work of Q-Step alumni and we hope you join us on the day.
Please note that due to current size limits on social gatherings, this event will take place virtually.
