Events for International Students
We will be running a number of sessions especially for international students during Welcome Week to help you settle into the UK.
International Students Welcome Reception
Monday 25th September, 4pm, Mansion House
This event is for both undergraduate and postgraduate international students, irrespective of which School of the University you are studying with.
The Reception is an opportunity to celebrate your arrival at City, to meet key members of University staff and to get to know fellow international students. Whilst enjoying drinks and canapés, you will be formally welcomed to the Institution by City's Rector the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Dr Andrew Parmley and the President of City, University of London, Professor Sir Paul Curran.
Coaches to transport you to Mansion House will leave the University from the St John Street entrance at 16:00. Transport is only provided one way – you will need to make your own arrangements for getting home at the end of the evening.
Once the reception comes to an end at 19:00 you may move on to a nearby bar, The Pitcher and Piano in Cornhill, where a private area for City, University of London students has been reserved so that you may continue socialising for the remainder of the evening. You will need to purchase your own drinks in the Pitcher and Piano bar.
