Reem joined the Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design in October 2012, as a PhD student, supervised by Stephanie Wilson and Dr. Sara Jones.
She completed her Bachelor in Computer Sciences at Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia, and finished her Master's degree in Computing Science with distinction from Newcastle University, UK. She taught several courses in the Department of Computer Sciences in Umm Al-Qura University for about 2 years before starting her Master's degree.
Reem's research interests include persuasive technologies, awareness, and technologies for collaborative learning. Her thesis topic is about investigating the role of persuasive social actors on activity awareness of collaborative learning groups.
