Minorities and Indigenous Peoples in International Law

This module deals with the issue of minority and indigenous rights in a legal, political and moral context. It will focus on the international instruments concerning minority rights, the relation between multiculturalism and minority rights, the rights of indigenous peoples, particularly their land rights, and the relation between self-determination and minority rights.
Students taking this module will develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of the international human rights norms and standards concerning minorities and indigenous peoples under international law.
