Evidence

Overview

Some lawyers have found their recollection of law school lectures on rules of evidence a little hazy! In response to demand we have developed an intensive "workshop" which uses case studies to cover key topics in a very practical way.

Key learning points

  • Classifying evidence
  • Identifying facts in issue and who carries the legal/evidential burden
  • Understanding witness competence and compellability
  • Dealing with character evidence
  • Recognising and handling hearsay
  • Using expert evidence successfully

Benefits

  • Brushing up your evidence gathering skills
  • Make a more accurate appraisal of the evidence in their cases
  • Focuses your mind on evidential gaps that need plugging in cases
  • Much improved preparation for trial
