City, University of London welcomes applications from Hungary. London is a great place for students from Hungary to study as it is a global city with virtually every nationality represented in some way.
The International Team make frequent trips to attend fairs, visit schools and undertake one-to-one counselling with student and parents. City is one of the most ideal institutions for students wanting to study in London. We have a comprehensive selection of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and are in the top 10 universities for graduate starting salaries in the UK.
Entry requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact Emma Thomas.
City considers students who have taken the Erettsegi for entrance to undergraduate courses.
City will also consider students who have taken GCE A Level examinations and the International Baccalaureate (IB) for entrance to undergraduate courses. Please see the website of the school you are interested in for specific grade requirements.
In 2021 the Mathematics curriculum for the International Baccalaureate Diploma is changing.
After careful consideration, City will accept both the Mathematics: Analysis and approaches route and the Mathematics: Applications and interpretation route as equivalent to A-Level Mathematics for all of our undergraduate courses. This means where our courses required A level Mathematics equivalency, we will accept both of the available Higher Level routes within the International Baccalaureate.
Current IB requirements will be clearly stated on the individual course pages, but please contact us if you have any questions.
Applicants for postgraduate courses will need a bachelors degree or University Diploma from a recognised institution.
The MBA is a mid-career qualification which is not open to fresh graduates. Applicants must have a good first degree, a minimum of three years management level work experience and a GMAT score of 600 or above.
Undergraduate - IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 79 is required (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 for business and IELTS 7.0 for journalism and law courses)
Postgraduate - IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 is required (IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 107 for business, journalism and law courses)
For students requiring visas, a Secure English Language Test (SELT) is usually required. Find a full list of acceptable English Language qualifications.
Students who do not meet the English language requirements for their course may have the option to undertake our Pre-sessional English programme at INTO City prior to entry into the institution.
Undergraduate
Undergraduates who are EU citizens and have been resident in the EU for the last three years are eligible to receive a tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company.
