Undergraduate and pre-registration courses

We offer a range of undergraduate/Pre-registration degrees in nursing, midwifery, optometry, radiography, speech and language therapy and human communication. Each course is developed to deliver the core skills and understanding needed to pursue and succeed in these challenging and rewarding careers.

Foundation degrees

As a student on the Introduction to Optometry Programme, you will be studying within a Division which has an internationally excellent reputation within the optometric profession. You will study a curriculum informed by our world leading research which is at the cutting edge of advances in the sector and be taught by academics who are leaders in their field.

Postgraduate Diplomas

Our graduate-entry courses allow graduates from other disciplines to gain a pre-registration health qualification in approximately two years as opposed to the usual three or four - providing a fast-track route into health professions.

These courses are also designed for health professionals who wish to gain a second registration in midwifery, health visiting, school and district nursing.

Top-up courses and post-registration

Our range of post-registration courses for health and social care professionals allow practitioners to "top-up" their existing qualification to degree level or gain a second specialisation. For overseas nurses, courses provide a route to qualification for practice in the UK.
