Appeals, Complaints and Enhancement
City aims to learn from experience to enhance and improve the way we work. We hope you will help us in trying to resolve problems in the simplest way, and give us the opportunity to put things right where they have gone wrong. But we recognise that this is not always possible, and in this case, we have formal procedures which allow for further review.
You can find information about how City manages appeals, complaints and student disciplinary matters here. You can also find details of the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) for Higher Education, which offers an external review if you are not satisfied after all internal procedures have been completed.
The Appeals, Complaints and Enhancement office operates through the Student Centre, and is independent of academic departments. We advise about processes, however we do not represent students. The Students' Union offers help with representation, or with writing an appeal or complaint (see link below).
