Topic: Climate-Related Financial Risks and Green Finance: Challenges and Opportunities
How does climate change impact financial markets? What can banks and investors do to foster green investment? What is the role of institutions in helping tackle climate risks?
To answer these and other topical questions, the Centre for Banking Research at the Business School (formerly Cass), EMEA, and The Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, have jointly organised the fifth IWFSAS conference. The online conference offers academics, practitioners, and policymakers the opportunity to discuss innovative research on a range of topics related to climate risk and sustainable finance.
Professor Beata Javorcik Chief Economist, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Professor of Economics, University of Oxford, and Director at CEPR, will give the keynote speech.
Andrea Beltramello (European Commission), Alyssa Heath (Principles for Responsible Investment), and Misa Tanaka (Bank of England) will discuss the role of institutions in fostering a greener and more sustainable Europe in our public policy panel.
The full conference programme is now available to view here.
