Speaker: Dr Gregory G. Slabaugh, Professor, and Director of the Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) at Queen Mary University of London.

Series: Data Bites

The quality of photos and videos produced by a camera is fundamentally important in modern smartphones. After a gentle introduction to AI and machine learning, this talk will discuss recent work in computational photography taking advantage of deep learning to advance the state-of-the-art in image/video quality.

The talk will summarise research in automatic white balance, demoireing, image enhancement and related topics presented in the last few months at CVPR and ECCV 2020.
