Series: Data Bites

Speaker: David Asboth (Cox Automative Data Solutions)

Cox Automotive is the world’s largest automotive service organisation, and that means we can combine data from across the entire vehicle lifecycle. We are on a journey to turn this data into insights and want to share some of our experiences. Data scientists in this environment need more than clever algorithms to succeed, yet these additional requirements only appear when you are already in the deep end. In this talk you’ll get a glimpse at the other side of the data science “stack” - the skills and techniques that complement your technical knowledge and are at least as important to succeed.

David Asboth is a Data Scientist at Cox Automotive Data Solutions and a City, University of London alumnus. His day job mostly involves creating value from messy and incomplete data.
