Speaker: Simon Everest, Government Digital Service (Cabinet Office)

As Transformation Lead at the Cabinet Office's Government Digital Service, Simon Everest will discuss the delivery of new digital services across the UK government since 2011. He will speak about his role within the Government Digital Service, the reasons behind its introduction and how the service has delivered centralised website services for all Government departments. Everest will also outline the additional services that the GDS provides.
Simon Everest has been Transformation Lead at the Cabinet Office's Government Digital Service since the summer of 2016. Prior to this, he was Service Manager at the Government Digital Service from 2012-16. He previously served in a variety of roles at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA): Head of Digital Engagement (2009-12), Internet Manager (2005-09) and Rural Development Communications and Policy Advisor (2002-05). Everest has additionally been Director of Sibs, the charity for siblings of disabled people, since 2012.
