Abstract:

EVs and CAVs are massively disruptive to the existing energy and transport markets at a global scale. The arising opportunities form an integral part to mitigate the damage from global climate change. However, there are massive challenges in terms of digital integration and accessing whole system value pools to be shared among market participants. The absence of a systematic path of transition towards EVs and CAVs for industry and consumers remains one of the major barriers to accelerate the pace of change. Lack of direction and certainty for large strategic investments into new products and services call for an industry led governance framework that empowers the market to go to scale and delivers economic growth and innovation.
