Research and Enterprise and Library Services at City are running a series of sessions during International Open Access Week for City academics, researchers and research students.

Explore ways to share your research and its underpinning data openly and discover how to get credit for all your work. With an exciting line up of external and internal speakers, sessions will take place during lunchtime throughout the week.

Freebies and lunch will be provided!

Research data management by Research Consulting

Academics and PhD students are asked to bring their own research outputs in any file type from datasets, presentations, and posters to images, video, and 3D files. You will learn about the process of uploading your outputs to Figshare where your data will be discoverable, have it's own citable DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and stored securely.

Sharing and properly managing research data can increase research productivity and impact, and increase the pace of new knowledge discovery. This presentation will demonstrate policies, tools and services available to researchers at City to support them in managing their data, including professional support for depositing and organising research data via a new partnership with the publisher Springer Nature.
