In the summer of 2016 I decided I wanted to write comic books. Over 3 months I wrote scripts, commissioned artists and self-published my own comic book anthology called 'Impossible Tales' In this talk I'll tell you how I did it and the pitfalls I encountered when self-publishing. Whilst ‘Impossible Tales’ wasn’t a resounding success (I’ve not been snapped up to write comics commercially), it helps to illustrate that with a bit of determination nothing is ‘Impossible’.
By day I am the Interaction Lab manager at City, University of London. A commercially experienced design researcher / interaction designer adept at simplifying complicated experiences through the application of best practices in interaction design. Supported by a practical knowledge of digital technologies. By night I am a frustrated creative whose most recent outlet was writing and self-publishing my own comic book anthology.
