Violinist Michel Gershwin came to international attention in 1988 as grand prize winner of the David Oistrach Competition. After having held positions as concertmaster of the Orchestre de Opera National de Lyon and the Philharmonischen Orchesters der Oper Frankfurt, Gershwin has concentrated on solo engagements and as concertmaster of the Gershwin Quartet and  L'Ensemble Opus 62. He is Professor of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique and given masterclasses worldwide.

He has collaborated with musicians including Igor Oistrach, Yuri Bashmet, Giora Feidman, Nigel Kennedy, Michel Portal, Mikis Theodorakis, Liana Isakadze, Grigory Gruzman, Irina Edelstein, Elena Bashkirova and Andrej Gavrilov. Festival appearances include the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Eppstein Piano Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Musikfestspiele Saar, Festival Massenet St. Étienne, Izmir International Festival, Altenburger Musikfestival, Al Bustan Festival Beirut,  Royal Mirage Festival Dubai, Music Summer Saas-Fee and Villa Musica.

Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Anna Tyshayeva started playing the piano at five years old, giving her first public performance one year later. Anna studied with Nikolay Kryzhanovsky at the State Conservatory in Odessa, and at the Hochschulen für Musik in Frankfurt, Nürnberg and Trossingen, with Irina Edelstein, Wolfgang Manz and Leonid Dorfman.

Her long list of competition wins includes first prizes at the International Scriabin Competition in Paris and the DAAD Competition in Frankfurt. Now based in Germany, Anna enjoys a busy career as a recitalist in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, France, Slovakia, Japan and Ukraine. She is also part of Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now, presenting concerts in community and healthcare settings.

Anna is founder and artistic director of the International Eppstein Piano Festival and the Piano festival in the Villa, Pinswang (Austria). She is an in demand jury member at piano competitions and regularly gives masterclasses for talented young pianists.
