Speaker: Gary Robjent, Policy and Research Manager, Policy and Campaigns Leonard Cheshire Disability

The difference in the rates of employment between disabled people and non-disabled has remained consistent over recent years, despite a number of central government initiatives to reduce it. At the same time, the support for working age disabled adults provided by adult social care services continues to decline.  Gary Robjent will  discuss the employment and other needs for social care for disabled adults. With a Green Paper promised, what might the future hold?

About the speaker

Gary Robjent has worked in health and well-being policy and public affairs for over 20 years.  With a longstanding interest in the social determinants of health and the potential of a single ‘care’ approach, he has recently joined Leonard Cheshire as Policy and Research Manager.
