HCID Research Seminar - Co-producing a digital platform for people with disabilities

1.00pm

Public

Speakers: Philip Gibson, Camphill Village Trust

Series: HCID Research Seminars

Seminar Abstract:

CVT Connect is a digital platform that enables people with disabilities to connect together, share information and collaborate on projects. The platform was co-designed by people with learning disabilities and draws on their experiences and challenges they have faced when using digital media safely. The seminar will look at why and how the platform was co-produced, what it hopes to achieve and some of the experiences / findings to date.

About the speaker:

I have over 25 years experience in working with people with learning difficulties, the last 10 years for Camphill village Trust (CVT). I have a particular interest in co-production and how people can take ownership and responsibility for projects that benefit the communities in which they live.
