Please note this event is only open to International Students starting at City in September 2017.
This event is for both undergraduate and postgraduate international students, irrespective of which School of the University you are studying with.
The reception is an opportunity to celebrate your arrival at City, to meet key members of University staff and to get to know fellow international students. Whilst enjoying drinks and canapés, you will be formally welcomed to the Institution by City's Rector the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Dr Andrew Parmley and the President of City, University of London, Professor Sir Paul Curran.

Transport is only provided one way – you will need to make your own arrangements for getting home at the end of the evening.
Once the reception comes to an end at 19:00 you may move on to a nearby bar, The Pitcher and Piano in Cornhill, where a private area for City, University of London students has been reserved so that you may continue socialising for the remainder of the evening. About Mansion House
Mansion House was built between 1739 and 1752, in the then fashionable Palladian style by the City of London surveyor and architect George Dance the Elder. Mansion House has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London since 1752. Built during the reign of George II, its grandeur was designed to reflect the City of London's position as one of the world's leading financial and trading centres.
