Opening moves in higher education: from access to social justice?
Abstract
This session ties in with Open Access Week, which provides us with an opportune moment to reflect on the Open Education movement as currently constituted and how it has emphasised the goal of opening up access to digital information. This presentation will connect today’s educational openness with some of its historical, pre-digital roots, and consider what, beyond access, being ‘open’ stands for.
The session will consist of part presentation and part interactive workshop.
