London International Medtner Festival: Lunchtime Concert and Dmitri Alexeev Masterclass
City, University of London, is pleased to host two events as part of the 2nd London International Medtner Festival, dedicated to the work of Russian composer-pianist Nikolay Medtner (1880-1951). The festival takes place on 26th-27th November. Other events will take place at Pushkin House and Merchant Taylors Hall. For the full festival programme, visit this link.

Lunchtime Concert
Some of the leading Medtner-enthusiasts of the UK gather together to celebrate the music of the enigmatic Russian composer-pianist. Performers include Karl Latchmyer, Yuri Paterson-Olenich, Ilona Revolskaya, Mihai Ritivoiu, Ben Schoeman, Maki Sekiya, Maya Soltan, Evgenia Startseva, Drew Steanson, Elena Toponogova and Elisabeth Turmo. The programme include compositions by Medtner for violin, voice and piano duet.

Medtner Masterclass with Dmitry Alexeev
One of the leading pianists of today, Professor of the Royal College of Music and a Medtner-specialist delivers a masterclass on Medtner's piano sonatas. Taking part are students of the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
