Hosted by the City, University of London Department of Sociology Supported by the City Q-Step Centre and the City Gender & Sexualities Research Forum

This roundtable will take place immediately prior to the annual Rosemary Crompton Memorial Lecture on Wednesday 10th May 2017. The discussants will be keynote speakers Professor Tracey Warren (Professor of Sociology at the University of Nottingham) and Professor Ros Gill (Professor of Cultural and Social Analysis at City, University of London), and co-convenor of the Rosemary Crompton lecture series Dr Vanessa Gash (Senior Lecturer in Sociology at City, University of London).

The roundtable will consist of informal talks of 10 minutes from each participant – postgraduate / postdoctoral research students working in the field of work, gender and / or class - discussing a specific issue in their research which has key implications in the current political climate. This will be followed by an in-depth discussion with all present.
