Professor Kanayama of Keio University Law School is giving a lecture on “Japan, Asia and Comparative Law” on Monday 4th December from 5:30 to 7:30 followed by drinks. Professor Kanayama will be speaking in Room 13 in the Princeton Street building of the Gray’s Inn Place campus of the City Law School. Professor Kanayama will be discussing comparative law in the Asian context and will explore modern Japanese history as well as introducing the concept of Asian Law.
Professor Kanayama is from Osaka and has degrees in law from Doshisha University School of Law, Knox College (Illinois USA), Kyoto University (LLD) and the University of Paris. He is an expert in Japanese and French Law and has taught at University of Paris and the Ecole Normale Superieure.
