The Department of Journalism is delighted to host an event with Ian Black, former Middle East editor of the The Guardian, to discuss his new book Enemies and Neighbours: Arabs and Jews in Palestine and Israel, 1917-2017.
The event will be recorded for the Tel Aviv Review: a semi-weekly English-language podcast that showcases the latest developments in the realm of nonfiction, academic research and culture, about Israel, the Middle East and other related topics.
For this episode, regular hosts Gilad Halpern and Dahlia Scheindlin will be joined by Dr James Rodgers, Senior Lecturer in International Journalism at City, and author of two books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Headlines from the Holy Land (2015) and No Road Home (2013).
The main event will be followed by a drinks reception generously sponsored by Political Tours, the travel company led by journalists, which also takes groups to Israel and Palestine.
The event is free to attend, but registration is necessary – and audience members should note that the event will be recorded.
