Tickets for this event are limited and allocated on a first come first serve basis
Speaker: Professor Martin Paul Eve
In this talk, Professor Martin Paul Eve will set out the challenges, successes, and progress in the first year of running the Open Library of Humanities.
In particular, the talk will focus on the unique economic model and the successes that the platform has had in "flipping" subscription journals before moving to discuss the ways that other disciplines, from computer/data science through biology, might work with the OLH model.
Professor Martin Paul Eve is Chair of Literature, Technology and Publishing at Birkbeck, University of London. Among other things he is the author of Open Access and the Humanities (Cambridge UP, 2014; available OA) and is a co-founder of the Open Library of Humanities.
