As part of this year’s Pride festivities, City’s Staff LGBT+ forum will be hosting an event titled ‘LGBT in the City: A diverse and inclusive Vision’ with guest speaker, Francis Ray White from Community Interest Company, Gendered Intelligence.

The event will explore LGBT+ issues in the workplace and raise awareness about how managers, staff, students and personal tutors can work towards creating an LGBT inclusive environment.

No one should ever feel victimised or targeted because of who they are… Yet research shows that the LGBT individuals both in the workplace and community are still very much marginalised.

To build the vision of ‘One City’ it is important we always seek to be inclusive in our actions. It is no longer good enough to say ‘I don’t know’ when it comes to inclusivity and building a friendly and safe environment for all!
